The choir has a group of volunteers who form the Incident Response Team. The purpose of the IRT is “to provide a coherent, rapid, and organized response to untoward incidents that may occur in the context of Spirt’s Call Choir gatherings or concerts”. Team member roles include Crowd Manager, First Responder, Recorder, and Liaison with Emergency Personnel. Generally, volunteers participate for a season, but some on the team have been members for many years. Fortunately, the Team’s services have never been required so the responsibility has been very minimal. No expertise or special training is required to participate on the team. This term the Team needs 2 new members.
